Hall Table # 3
                                  This table has a top of birdseye maple
                                  and gently curving black walnut legs with
                                  birdseye maple feet. The walnut aprons and
                                  stretchers have mortise and tenon joinery
                                  pinned with cherry dowels. The top is
                                  mounted so as to appear to be floating
                                  slightly above the aprons giving the piece
an additional feeling of lightness. The finish is Danish oil with
rub on polyurethane varnish top coats.

Trestle Dining Table
                                       This table has a cherry top with bread-
                                       board ends and a small cove detail along
                                       the top edge. The legs are cherry with a
                                       center panel of spalted elm which also
                                       holds the stretcher. The apron is cherry
                                       with box joints at the corners. The finish
                                       is a hand rubbed poly/oil blend. Other
species may be substituted for either of the two in this piece.

Lake Placid Hall Table
                This elegant table was made for a show at the Lake
                   Placid center for the Arts. The top is curly purpleheart
                   with a plain edge to balance the delicate curves in
                   the mahogany aprons and birdseye maple legs. The
                   top is mounted so as to give the illusion of floating
                   and to emphasize the lightness of the piece. The
                   aprons are joined to the legs with mortise and tenon
joinery pinned with cherry dowels. The purpleheart feet serve as
visual weight to balance the top and hold the table to the floor.
The finish is a hand rubbed oil/polyurethane blend.

Occasional Table
                     This table has a walnut and cherry frame and panel
                     top that is let into notches near the top of the legs.
                     The panel floats in the frame to accommodate the
                     seasonal movement of the wood. The walnut aprons
                     are attached to the legs with mortise and tenon
                     joints. The cherry legs are tapered on the outside
                     corners from top to bottom. The finish is a hand
rubbed blend of polyurethane and Danish oil.
