Dining Chair
                       This chair was designed to be used with the table
                       shown below but will work well with many traditional
                       or contemporary pieces. The black walnut legs and
                       rails are joined by mortise and tenon and pinned
                       with cherry dowels. The carved cherry seat and back
                       have a laminated lumbar support. The finish is three
                       coats of an oil/poly blend and two topcoats of
                       rubbed on polyurethane varnish.

Breakfast Table
                                   This table is a nice size for an apartment or
                                   a breakfast nook. The birdseye maple top
                                   is mounted so as to give the impression of
                                   floating slightly above the cherry aprons
                                   and black walnut legs. The aprons are joined
                                   to the legs by mortise and tenon and pinned
                                   with cherry dowels. The gently curving legs
have maple feet which add a feeling of lightness to the piece. The
top is finished with three coats of satin varnish, the aprons and legs
with three coats of tung oil.

Blanket Chest
                                       This very substantial chest is made with
                                       frame and panel construction using
                                       purpleheart and lacewood pinned with
                                       cherry dowels. all frames are purpleheart
                                       all panels are resawn and bookmatched
                                       lacewood. The bottom is cedar and a
                                       leather strap supports the top when open.
The finish is four coats of hand rubbed satin polyurethane/oil blend.
Other species of wood may be substituted.
